The big gift-giving day is just over a week away (eek!!!), and if you’re like me, you’re still looking for that perfect little something for the special people in your life. Now, I’m not one to brag, but my fellow Knoxville Mom Blog contributors are one very talented group of ladies. And, in addition to the gazillion other things they do during the day (and night), a few of them also find time to run their very own businesses making beautiful, thoughtful, and unique items, and selling products they believe help improve lives.
Check them out – you just might find exactly what you’re missing to complete your holiday shopping! There’s something really special about knowing that, not only are you’re supporting our local, mom-run small businesses, but that your special items are made with and selected with care.
Oh, and I almost forgot! They are generous too…make sure to enter the giveaways below to win some fabulous items!
Here’s a bit about these great businesses from the ladies themselves:
Jenny’s Sweet P’s Handmade Gifts- Pretty. Personal. Perfect.
“I grew up loving to create things using any medium available. Music, paint, pottery, dance, fabric … anything. So when I had a baby and a little extra time on my hands, I was not surprised that the desire to learn how to sew crept back into my heart. I had dabbled in it a little with my mom’s sewing machine, but never knew I would love it so much! I began by making small ornaments, stuffed toys, and clothes for my Sweet P. Then when necessity beckoned, I began creating small ouchie owls and toddler chairs that I sold to friends. From there it has grown into Sweet P’s shop, specializing in handmade gifts for all ages! Lately, my favorite project has been a custom order for ouchie owl friends- designing and creating a hedgehog, puppy dogs, and a Lipscomb University Bison. Come visit me on Facebook and let’s get creative!”
Last day to place an order for Christmas delivery is Saturday, December 21st.
Jenny is giving away a Mommy-and-Me comfort set: A sweet Ouchie Owl for your child and an adult-size Headache Helper for you!
Julie’s Two Blooms
“Two Blooms started as a hobby and a way to incorporate handmade art and some of the meaningful quotes that I’ve always loved into our home. From there, it’s turned into more than just thriving small business…. it’s been a great way for me to connect with moms across Knoxville who want to add those personal touches to THEIR homes, too! I’ve helped design pieces for nurseries, to honor special grandparents, and one of my all time favorites was an incredibly personal anniversary gift {documenting a relationship from the very beginning all the way through a new baby!}. I’d love to design something for YOUR family!”
Last day to place an order for Christmas delivery is Wednesday, December 18th.
Julie is giving away a Home Sweet Home Tennessee state sign, measuring 9.5″x18″.
Janie’s Pampered Chef
“I’ve been a Pampered Chef consultant since April of 2009, and I love it! It’s the best company to work for because I’ve been able to take breaks when I’ve had my kids, and start right back up when I was ready. I even took some time off this past fall when my baby boy was having some health issues! I am my own boss, and can work my business around my family’s schedule! I love to meet new people, and provide quick and easy recipes for healthy food. I try to focus on the freshest foods, with the most health benefits possible. I love to pamper my hosts, and love my job!”
Orders can be placed by emailing Janie at [email protected] The last day to place an order for Christmas delivery is December 17th, delivered the 21st. Second day air is December 20th, and next day air is December 23rd.
Janie is giving away a large bar pan, a trifle bowl (like the ones pictured below), or the winner’s pick of a $30 product.
Beth’s Arbonne International
“So my business isn’t creative or homemade (that’s just not me), but it is my business. I am an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International. It is a Health & Wellness, Skincare, and Cosmetic company based out of Switzerland. One of the reasons I love this company, is that they stand behind their motto of being Pure, Safe, & Beneficial products. Our company is based out of Switzerland so they follow European standards for their products, which are more intense than ours here in the US. Another great thing is that we carry something for the whole family, from newborns to grandparents. We are also certified vegan, gluten free, parabens free, and free of mineral oil. Not to mention it has done wonders for my skin!”
Orders can be placed by emailing Beth at [email protected] and if you mention Knoxville Moms Blog she’ll take 35% off your order! Last day to place an order for Christmas delivery is Tuesday, December 17th.
Beth is giving away a Make-up Primer!
