The Town of Farragut’s Fun with Farragut’s Fleet {Sponsored Post}

The Town of Farragut will sponsor the 13th annual Fun with Farragut’s Fleet on Saturday, August 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at a new location – Mayor Bob Leonard Park!

Fun with Farragut’s Fleet gives children the opportunity to see, touch and climb on a variety of trucks and equipment used by the Town of Farragut, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Moneymakers Wrecker Service and Rural/Metro Inc., including a backhoe, dump truck, fire engine and police car. Town of Farragut Public Works and Leisure Services staff members, as well as representatives from these emergency organizations, will be available to explain how the equipment is used and to answer any questions.

The event will also feature a kids’ craft (led by Town of Farragut) and a snack tent sponsored by yours truly—Knoxville Moms Blog! We will have lots of yummy treats from Pirate’s Booty, Annie’s, GoGo Squeez, and Pretzel Crisps.

Fun with Farragut’s Fleet is free and open to the public. Mayor Bob Leonard Park is located at 301 Watt Road. In case of inclement weather, call 966-2420 for the status of the event. For more information, contact Special Events and Program Coordinator Lauren Cox at [email protected] or 966-7057.
