Investing in Your Children’s Future {MNO Recap}

In September, KMB hosted a Mom’s Night Out at the Rothchild Catering and Conference Center. It was a lovely evening with a scrumptious dinner catered by Rothchild, and lively conversation with all the ladies. During dinner, we were fortunate to have two guest speakers: the first spoke about investing in our children’s futures, while the second spoke about living a healthier lifestyle. What mom doesn’t want to know more about these two topics?!?!

Investing in your children's Future

The National Care Insurance Agency, a Knoxville business, shared about its Million Dollar Baby program and the ways in which parents can help secure their child’s financial future. All moms walked away with A Simple Path, a book filled with helpful information about securing and enhancing your retirement.

The second part of the evening was filled with conversation about leading a healthier lifestyle, led by Janet Brandenberg, a Certified Health Coach with Take Shape For Life Program. Janet spoke about the importance of eating healthy meals and how to prepare them in a fast and easy way at home.

It was a great night of learning, food, and fun! Speaking of fun, we are going to have a blast celebrating KMB’s one year birthday in November with a night of wine and pampering at Corks Wine & Spirits and Go Glamorous!

In March 2011 my life changed in the most dramatic and wonderful way possible: I became a mom to my vivacious, inquisitive, sweet, fun-loving, exuberant little man. A week after my son’s birth, my husband received a job offer we could not refuse from the University of Tennessee. And so, in July 2011, we said goodbye to the life we’d created in the coastal paradise of Santa Barbara, California, and began carving out a new bit of paradise for ourselves in Knoxville. In March 2013, just over two years after the birth of our son, we welcomed our beautiful and equally amazing daughter. Together with my loving and supportive husband, my children have taught me to slow down and enjoy the moments life gives us. It is with them and thanks to them, that I feel truly happy and at peace.
