Knoxville’s Pick-Your-Own Farms

It’s that time of year again: strawberry pickin’ time!

{Please be sure to call about availability of crops, as it changes constantly due to demand, weather and season!}

There are so many wonderful places in and around Knoxville where you can pick your own strawberries. It has become one of my family’s very favorite things to do every year. There really is nothing like the smell and taste of freshly picked produce. The process is fun, easy, a little dirty, and so rewarding when you come away with a bucket full of delicious berries.

Most farms have just opened for the season. Strawberry season doesn’t last long though (about six weeks or so), so don’t wait! I recommend calling the farms ahead of time to confirm their hours of operation and to ask whether their crop is ready. Be sure to bring your own bucket and a pair of shoes that you don’t mind getting a little muddy!
