Hit the Water This Summer with Concord Sail Summer Camp

Summers on the lake are a great way to spend a childhood – or a lifetime.

Sailing is a sport that offers everything from relaxing cruises with romantic sunsets, to intensive racing with friendly regatta parties. Our summer youth Sail Camp offers a fun and informal setting for children ages 8-16 to learn how to sail and be safe on the water. The skills and friendships they learn here will last a lifetime.

Now celebrating our 25th year, we offer three one-week sessions running June 4-22. Students are divided into fleets by age and experience. Our US Sailing certified instructors tailor all classes to the skill level of the group, whether first-timer or advanced racer. New students are usually up and sailing on their own the very first day. The warm and protected waters of Fort Loudoun Lake offer the ideal setting for learning to sail and just having fun on the water.

For 2018 we’re introducing a brand new fleet of Fusion sailboats for our 10-12 year old beginners. These great little double-handed boats are a perfect addition to our existing fleets of Optis, Bics and 420s. Sign-up with a friend and join the fun with these sporty little boats.

We’re located at the Concord Sailing Center, 11600 S. Northshore Dr. (near Concord Park). Courses are $350/wk, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with discounts for returning sailors and parent volunteers. No experience necessary, but campers must be able to swim 50 yds. unaided (tested on site) and supply their own PFD. Bring your own lunch, but we provide morning and afternoon snacks and all day drinks.

Check out our website and Parent Handbook for more details, or email us at [email protected].

Sailing is a wonderfully environmental way of enjoying our waterways here in east TN. It’s a great family sport and it’s not uncommon to see generations of families sailing together – or even competing against each other. Don’t forget to check out our other programs as well.
