Annual Campus-Wide Admissions Open House (PreK thru High School)

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

7:15 a.m. – Start Time for Middle and High School Parents & Students {students can register to “shadow” a current CAK middle or high school student and attend classes for the morning}
NOTE: Knox County Schools are NOT in session on this day!

8:30 a.m. – Start Time for PreK and Elementary School Families

Future families are invited to attend this yearly event, designed to give a look into a day in the life of CAK students. CAK DAY! originates at the Campus Center building (home of the Admissions office) where guests will be greeted by members of our administration.

Parents are encouraged to register their rising 6th – 12th graders for a half-day shadow experience incorporated into this event. Each visiting student will be paired with a current CAK student to see what it’s like to attend classes on campus. While the students are shadowing and getting a student’s perspective, parents will tour the middle and high school facilities and meet with administrators in each area. We will visit classrooms where you can see teachers at work. The portion of the day dedicated to middle and high school will start promptly at 7:15 a.m. in order to stay on schedule; parents will complete their morning between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m.; shadow appointments will end at 11:30 a.m. A more detailed itinerary will follow your registration.

CAK Open House

Families of entering PreSchool through rising 5th grade students are welcome to attend with or without their children in tow … just know that we LOVE children (!) and are happy if they join you*. During your visit, which starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. also in hopes to follow our detailed schedule, you will experience part of an elementary chapel service as well as hear from elementary and PreK administration, faculty and parents. You will also enter classrooms and see our teachers and students in action while touring this section of campus. The morning’s events for this age group should conclude between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. A more detailed itinerary will follow your registration.

To register, email Amy Williams, [email protected] and include the following information:

– Parent/s first and last name
– Parent/s email address and phone number
– Student/s name
– Student/s grade for this coming school year (fall)

For questions, contact Amy at 865/690-4721 option 5.

* we will utilize a large motor coach to transport students and parents from building to building; this is not conducive to strollers, but those can be ‘parked’ in the Campus Center lobby until the tours are over.

Over 20 years ago, I moved to Knoxville and fell in love with the city that has now truly become my home. Shortly after moving here, I married my college sweetheart, and when not working we set out to travel as much as we could. After working as a financial manager for six years, I welcomed my first son in 2010 and began a journey as a stay-at-home mom. Two years later we added another baby boy to make us a family of four. In June 2016, we welcomed our third son. I founded Knoxville Moms in November 2013 which began my career as a work-from-home mom, and it grew to the expansion of Chattanooga Moms in March 2016. We welcomed our first girl in November 2017 making us a family of six and adding a little pink in our house. In June 2021, I became the co-owner of the Atlanta Mom website, and in March 2022 I became the owner of the Nashville Moms parenting website. When I'm not carpooling the kids to sports and activities, you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee, reading a good book, and dreaming about my toes in the sand. I enjoy meeting new people and enjoy connecting the moms of Knoxville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Nashville.
