A Cut Above LawnScapes {Landscaping Review}

I don’t know about you, but once we had kids DIY projects seem to become more difficult and take FOREVER to finish.

My husband and I have been working on our flower beds and landscaping for almost two years. We really had no trees and not a lot of landscaping either when we purchased the house. So over these last few years we’ve added trees, bushes, plants, and flower beds.

We had one area in the back yard we hadn’t been able to get to yet, and it was such an eyesore for me!

When we contacted A Cut Above LawnScapes, we were excited to finally be getting this area finished. Mark, the owner was punctual, professional, and a very hard worker.

My husband and I have hired many people in the past to do projects, and we always end up unsatisfied, wishing we had just done the project ourselves (deck painting, floor refinishing to just name a few). We’ve done a lot of remodeling ourselves, but sometimes you just want it DONE in a short period time. Nothing is more frustrating or disappointing than when you pay someone to complete a project, and you end up unhappy with the job.

We’re happy to report that Mark and his team did a wonderful job! He worked very hard all day in the 90 degree heat pulling weeds on his hands and knees.  You never know how thorough a job someone will do when weeding out an area, but Mark pulled every single last one. He removed dead plants, planted some new ones I provided, edged the flower beds, and mulched the whole back flower bed area, and part of the front that we had requested.

Over 20 years ago, I moved to Knoxville and fell in love with the city that has now truly become my home. Shortly after moving here, I married my college sweetheart, and when not working we set out to travel as much as we could. After working as a financial manager for six years, I welcomed my first son in 2010 and began a journey as a stay-at-home mom. Two years later we added another baby boy to make us a family of four. In June 2016, we welcomed our third son. I founded Knoxville Moms in November 2013 which began my career as a work-from-home mom, and it grew to the expansion of Chattanooga Moms in March 2016. We welcomed our first girl in November 2017 making us a family of six and adding a little pink in our house. In June 2021, I became the co-owner of the Atlanta Mom website, and in March 2022 I became the owner of the Nashville Moms parenting website. When I'm not carpooling the kids to sports and activities, you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee, reading a good book, and dreaming about my toes in the sand. I enjoy meeting new people and enjoy connecting the moms of Knoxville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Nashville.
