Vacation Bible School 2017

Summer is around the corner, and as you consider plans and activities for your kiddos, don’t forget to look into Vacation Bible School (VBS)! Each program offers an experience complete with crafts, activities, friends and valuable lessons.

VBS is offered at different times and locations throughout Knoxville, and this year’s round-up sounds so fun, it will be hard to choose which to attend!  

Before revealing the much-anticipated Vacation Bible School round-up, here’s a little VBS humor for you: My 4-year-old son came home from his first-ever VBS with the craft pictured below. He proudly exclaimed:

“Rice died on this for us!”

Without further ado, here are the 2017 VBS offerings in Knoxville:

Ages 5 years (by 8/15/17) through rising 6th grade.

Registration opens May 1. 

Salem Baptist Church

Ages 4 through finished 5th grade.

Registration opens April 16.

Farragut Presbyterian Church

Hero Central
June 5th-9th
9am-noon
Ages 3 years (potty-trained) to rising 6th grade. $10 per child; campers will receive a t-shirt and a cape while supplies last.

Central Baptist Bearden

Passport to Peru

    Central Baptist Bearden is having theirs June 5-8 (with their kickoff event on sunday, June 4 from 5-7). The theme this year is passport to Peru. Our VBS is for those entering kindergarten-entering 7th grade. For information, you can contact Laura Lindsay at [email protected]

    It’s not in Knoxville but we are having our VBS at New Providence Presbyterian Church in Maryville on June 25-28th from 5:30-7:30 pm each evening!
