Super Yum for the Big Game

7

Confession time: not quite sure which teams are playing in the big game this year. Like millions of others across America, I’m approximately 0% interested in the game.  Since my day job is in Marketing, I’m looking forward to the commercials, but more so, the food.

A couple of weeks ago we decided we’d host the festivities this year, and menu planning began pretty much immediately. I am a sucker for snack food, and sporting events {while painfully boring for me, usually} are a good excuse to chow down. As always, this weekend I’ll lean on some of my old standbys, but I’m also excited to try some new recipes!

Meatballs — this is the first stop I always make in the buffet line. Ob. Sessed. And, with three ingredients, anyone can pull of this dish!

Velveeta Cheese Dip — if you can dip a chip into it…sign me up. And, one of my all-time favorites…what party is complete without cheese dip?

Loaded Potato Pinwheels — I’d pretty much eat a shoe if it was wrapped in a crescent roll. Put bacon on it and it’s a no brainer!

Easy Cheesy Buffalo Dip — a “not-so-messy” way to enjoy your wings on Super Bowl Sunday.

Game Day Guacamole — avacados are healthy, right?

Oreo Football Cookie Balls — I’m more of a savory snacker, but at the end of the night, I always need just a couple bites of something sweet. Plus, who can resist at least ONE “theme-y” thing!

This is what we’ll be munching on, come Sunday night…what recipes am I missing???

Back when I graduated from the University of Tennesse {GO Vols!!}, I never thought that one day I’d be working a full time job, getting to raise two amazing kiddos with a pretty great husband, oh and by the way starting a small custom gifts business out of our house {Check out Two Blooms!} I grew up in the Buckeye state, and between college and now, my husband Chris and I did a brief stint in the Windy City. Living in downtown Chicago was amazing, but it has made me appreciate Knox-vegas even more! There are so many things to do and see here, and we are always on the go enjoying activities and trying to keep our little guy, Collier, and sweet girly-girl, Emerson, entertained. Just like my scatter-brain, I’m looking forward to sharing all sorts of great random tips, tricks and finds with other mamas in Knoxville. We’re all sharing this crazy life together – and that’s the part of being a mom that’s the most fun for me!

  1. Julie, You are a CRAZY woman! And your article is making my mouth water uncontrollably. I finally got around to “liking” the Mom’s page (even though I’m only a mom to furbabies at the moment), and I love it! Lemme know if you need any articles posted for dog mom’s, I’m an expert.

p.s. my construction blog will be houseofhampel.blogspot.com, I know you wanted to check it out! So far, only one post because Winter Storm Leon interrupted some thangs. Jerk. XOXO,
    Amanda
