Green with Envy – One Great Pair of Skinnies Styled Four Ways {Guest Blogger}

Just as Shelby declared her love for pink in Steel Magnolias, I feel that green is my signature color. I love the color green! It is flattering on every skin tone, especially Kelly green. When I came across these great skinny jeans, my mind immediately went to all the different outfits that these jeans will complete. I have taken these jeans from the office to a PTO meeting and every time I have felt comfortable and polished.

I have comprised four looks for you to go as casual or dressy as you desire. Each look is distinct but the star of the show today are my favorite statement piece.

Green Skinnies Outfit One

The first look is very preppy-cool with some unlikely accessories. The striped sweater makes the look dressy enough for work and the accessories make the look playful enough to keep me from taking myself too seriously.

The next look is very boho chic. The chiffon is cool enough to get you through a summer day but can take you to dinner with the ladies. I accessorized this look again with a beautiful vintage locket that makes a statement without taking over the look.

Outfit Two

The third look is as preppy as I can get in one look! I love the combination of navy blue and Kelly green; nothing says classically cool better. I decided to pair this look with some camel gladiator heels to make it suitable for work. To keep the look fresh, I kept the same yellow studded earrings.

My final look is perfect for the weekend. I paired the green skinnies with a laid-back chambray button up and my gladiator heels. For a little contrast I added a mint bauble necklace.

Outfit Four

Necklace Two

As a mother of two, every piece of clothing has to work for me. I am constantly on the lookout for pieces that take my existing wardrobe up to the next level. Price is important of course, but I look more at what this piece is going to do for me. Sure, not every piece will elicit four looks, but the easiest way to restart your closet is to take a signature piece and pair it with something unexpected. You may find new looks you never imagined! Happy hunting!
