As the school year comes to a close, visions of beach vacations and outdoor activities are dancing in students’ heads. However many home school parents are already preparing for next year by selecting curriculum, registering for a co-op, and making a new schedule. If you’re looking for enriching opportunities to supplement your home school plan, here is a comprehensive resource of local classes and activities geared towards home school students.

American Museum of Science and Energy / Home School Programs

Interactive science lessons for grades K-6.

Bill Jones Music / Home School Chorus

Bricks 4 Kidz / Home School Classes at their Creativity Center

Classes that explore engineering, architecture, physics, science, math, and technology with the use of LEGO kits.

    You might want to add another activity to your list. It’s in Maryville, TN….Maryville Martial Arts. Classes meet 11am-1 pm Tuesday, 7pm-9pm Tuesday, 11am-1 pm Thursday, 7pm-9pm Thursday. You can attend once a week or all 4 work outs for the same price. Kids get exercise and build confidence while they learn the history and the art of Isshinryu Karate.
